An Evidence-Based Program for Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis
Many people are concerned that increasing pain or stiffness means they need to stop moving, reduce activity, or start thinking about surgery. Fortunately, research continues to show that education and exercise can play a powerful role in managing osteoarthritis symptoms and maintaining quality of life.
That’s why we’re excited to announce our fall dates for the GLA:D® Canada Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis program – starting September 24, 2026!
What Is GLA:D® Canada?
GLA:D® (Good Life with osteoArthritis: Denmark) is an internationally recognized education and exercise program designed specifically for people living with hip and knee osteoarthritis.The program is based on research showing that education and targeted exercise can help reduce pain, improve function, and support confidence in movement.GLA:D® is currently used across Canada and around the world to help individuals take an active role in managing osteoarthritis.
Who Is This Program For?
The GLA:D® Canada program may be a good fit if you:
- Have hip osteoarthritis
- Have knee osteoarthritis
- Experience pain or stiffness that limits activity
- Want to improve strength and mobility
- Want support returning to walking, hiking, golfing, gardening, or exercise
- Are hoping to explore non-surgical management options
You don’t need to be highly active or experienced with exercise to participate.

👥 Meet Your GLA:D® Clinicians
The GLA:D® Canada program at Strive is led by Grace Underwood and Rob Walsh, both GLA:D Canada trained practitioners who are passionate about helping individuals stay active and move with confidence despite hip or knee osteoarthritis.
Grace Underwood combines a patient-centred approach with experience in orthopaedic rehabilitation, exercise prescription, and helping individuals build strength and confidence through movement.
Rob Walsh brings extensive experience in exercise-based rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and supporting individuals in developing long-term strategies for maintaining function and independence.
Together, they provide a supportive and encouraging environment where participants can learn, build strength, and develop practical strategies for managing osteoarthritis and staying active.
September 24, 2026 Program Launch
We’re excited to offer our next in-person GLA:D® Canada program beginning:

The program will run on Mondays and Thursdays from 1:30pm-2:30pm for 12 sessions. Spots are limited.
