WHAT IS A PEDORTHIST?

Pedorthists certified by the College of Pedorthics of Canada use the designation, Canadian Certified Pedortists C. Ped (C). They are trained in the assessment of lower limb anatomy and biomechanics to help alleviate pain and dysfunction of the lower limbs and feet.

HOW CAN A PEDORTHIST HELP ME?

Pedorthists are experts in the prescription, construction and fitting of orthotics. They are also skilled in gait assessment and will help you and your health care team better understand how your lower limbs work and how this many be contributing to your pain and dysfunction.

At Strive we work as a team. Your Strive Pedorthist will communicate with your Physiotherapist, Massage Therapy and/or Physician, to ensure all members of your team are working together to help you get back to what you love to do.

ARE ORTHOTICS AND PEDORTHIC SERVICES COVERED BY INSURANCE BENEFITS?

Many third party extended health insurance plans provide coverage for custom foot orthotics, orthopedic footwear, modified footwear and custom footwear when prescribed by a Canadian Certified Pedorthist. We recommend that you confirm with your insurance provider prior to your visit, so that you understand the coverage you have and if you require a prescription from a Physician first.
